Routine Preventive Care

We recommend getting your teeth cleaned every 6 months. During the procedure, we will remove all the plaque and staining on your teeth, down to the gumline.

If plaque is present below the gumline, we may recommend a deep cleaning. A deep cleaning will involve numbing the area and going below the gums to remove plaque and buildup. Plaque left below the gumline can lead to bone loss, which may lead to loss of teeth. If necessary, regular deep cleanings can stop or slow down the process of bone loss.

Same Day Crowns

In certain cases, a filling is not enough to restore a tooth. A crown may be necessary if a tooth is cracked, the cavity is very large, or the tooth has had a root canal. A simple filling may not be enough to restore the structural integrity of the tooth.

At Myers Park Dental Partners, we offer CEREC technology, which allows us to make a crown while you wait. Using a computer and a 3D scan, we can digitally design the crown, mill it from a solid block of ceramic, and then deliver the crown at the same appointment. In most situations, you will not leave with a temporary crown but with your final crown.

Dental Implants

An implant is a titanium post placed into bone, and is typically the best option to replace a missing tooth. After placement, we wait 3 months as the bone integrates into the implant, allowing the body to accept the implant as a tooth. Following osseointegration, a crown is placed on top of the implant. Implants are great options for patients with healthy teeth in front of and behind the missing tooth because implants do not require prepping adjacent teeth as is necessary with bridges.

Sure Smile Clear Aligners

Crooked teeth not only affect the aesthetics of your smile, but they can also be detrimental to your oral health. For instance, crowded teeth can be much more difficult to properly clean, leaving you at a greater risk for developing tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease. Luckily, people in need of orthodontic care have more options than ever before. At Myers Park Dental Partners, we specialize in clear aligner treatment. The clear aligner system is designed for patients who want a discrete and effective alternative to traditional metal braces.

Great dental office. Both Drs. Sowell and Allen are extremely nice and genuinely care about their patients. Importantly, they will not perform work on your teeth unless you absolutely need it done, which cannot be said about all offices! All of the staff are also friendly and helpful.
